American Top Team HD is Kansas City’s most qualified source for Mixed Martial Arts fitness and instruction. Our gym offers classes in MMA, jiu-jitsu, boxing, muay thai and wrestling for all levels, kids and adults alike. Kansas City native and University of Nebraska wrestling alum Jason High, who has fought for DREAM, Strikeforce and the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), has spent several training camps at the American Top Team gym in Coconut Creek, FL. He was impressed with not only the quality of training but the way the gym is organized and run. He partnered with L.C. Davis and Dusty Spaulding to open an American Top Team gym in Lenexa, KS, in May 2014 as American Top Team HD (High-Davis). Spaulding, a wrestling teammate of High’s at the University of Nebraska, opened and runs a successful MMA gym in Emporia, KS, and is a promoter for fight shows across the state of Kansas and in the Greater KC area. He is also an experienced MMA fighter. Davis is a Kansas City area native who wrestled at Missouri Valley College and has since competed in the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting), Affliction, Titan Fighting Championships, and more. This spring he signed a contract with Bellator MMA.
