American Top Team HD owners LC Davis and Jason High have been busy doing business outside the gym as well as inside it! Davis recently signed a bout agreement to fight Joe Warren at Bellator 143, while High just announced a new contract with World Series of Fighting (WSOF).
Davis fought in arguably the most exciting MMA fight of the year in March, where he defeated Hideo Tokoro via split decision, maintaining his undefeated record in the bantamweight division and breaking his jaw in the process. Davis has fully healed and is ready to face Joe Warren, who challenged Marcus Galvao for the 135-lb title the same night Davis beat Tokoro. Galvao defeated Warren via submission in round two. Now, Davis has an opportunity to defeat Warren to climb up the ladder further towards a title shot of his own.
Bellator 143 will take place Hidalgo, Texas, on September 25th. The show will air live on Spike TV. Stay tuned to the ATTHD Facebook page for updates about our watch party for LC!
High has been looking for his next opportunity since being cleared to fight again in June. He is excited to have finally signed a new contract with WSOF, and hopes to be in the cage fighting in the lightweight division in November.
“I’m excited, man,” High said on a recent edition of The MMA Hour when asked about his suspension coming to an end. “You know, it’s been hard to sit on the sidelines, especially when I’m healthy. I came off of a big rest from being not healthy with my appendix and everything. Then to get sat out for a year after that, it was really heartbreaking, man. It was really hard to sit out and watch. But you know, I’ve been getting through it, and I’m ready to get back to work this year.”
