Andrew Carrillo grew up in a Parsons, KS, where he was the 4A State Runner up in 2005 (wrestling). Where he amassed 100+ wins in his high school career, and was a two-time Team Kansas member. He then went on to wrestle at Pratt Community College in Pratt, KS under LC Davis where he was a national qualifier. After his tenure at Pratt he then transferred to Dana College in Blair, NE where he was a two-time national qualifier and GPAC conference wrestler of the year (2010). He then went on to Midland University where he finished his Bachelor’s in Arts, as a Student Assistant wrestling coach.

Carrillo started his Professional MMA career 2010 and started his professional career 5-0 at the featherweight division (145). His amateur roots began in Wichita, KS with Andy Zerger of JMTK where he studied Muay Thai. He started his professional career under Ryan Jensen and Kurt Podany (2x World Champ)of Premier Combat Center in Omaha, NE, but has been with HDMMA since the doors opened in 2011. He was ranked as high as 113 according to fightmatrix.com. He has fought for many local shows including Kansas City’s own Titan Fighting Championships. He is currently employed at Freightquote.com, and an Assistant Wrestling coach at Blue Valley North High School.

Andrew is currently coming off a 2 year lay-off from shoulder surgery, but is currently training and returning to the cage very soon!
