We are adding another dimension to your training, starting in October – the ATTHD Run Club! This ain’t your average jogging group! We will make the most of our time and run hills, fartleks (Swedish word for “speed play”), tempo runs, progression runs and maybe even some time trials to check your progress.
The group will meet at ATTHD every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 6am, starting Thursday, October 2. It will be led by Nebraska All-American, Olympic Trials Champion and former American Record holder in the 2000m and 3000m steeplechase Ann Gaffigan.
If you want to train your body to become more efficient at getting rid of lactic acid and be able to put out a greater effort for a longer period of time, you need this as a part of your training program! Hard morning runs are also a surefire way to keep your weight down.
Come rain or shine – the only thing we’ll cancel for is lightning! If we do cancel for weather, we will post a message on the ATTHD Facebook and Twitter pages the night before or that morning.
Beginners are welcome – your effort is what will matter.
